This brief was given to me to develop an outdoor extension dining table. Honestly speaking, I was never so fond of extension tables, as the visible extended elements suggest a sort of compromise or struggle to be something other than what it naturally is. Then I came up with an idea to disguise this stigmatised split line of the extended part. We ended up designing a tabletop made of outdoor spirit with open slats and a closed table contour, with a wood frame, for an enhanced dining experience.
